Thanksgiving

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Chad and I traveled to central Oregon to spend a couple of days with my family. My brother Bill, along with his kids, Katie and Anthony were there too. So, including my parents, we had a party of 7. We played a lot of games ate waaaaay too much and just had a great time hanging out together.

We actually arrived on Thursday evening, so we did dinner on Friday. Here's the sunset from my parents backyard on Thursday. It was such a beautiful night - definitely something to be thankful for!

It was unusually warm for this time of year. Normally we get to watch the first snowfall on or around Thanksgiving at my folk's place, but this year, it was almost 60 degrees! We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the warmer weather.

My dad, Steve, got the kids each their own crawdad trap. Bill and I used to trap these when we were kids too. It's great fun to pull up your trap and see if you caught anything.

My dad just recently installed a giant gravel patio, with a huge fire pit in the middle. After dinner we had a great time talking around the fire, and making a dessert of S'mores!

My brother gave my mom, Chad and I a lesson on Texas Holdem' Poker... I think mom may have missed her calling. Notice her pile of chips compared to mine (the three on the right).


It was a great trip!
